hello,
i havnt been on brierley park for some years now untill tonight as me and a mate went for a run round there.I was shocked to see the pond looking how it does now.The last time i was down there it looked un loved, just built and left.It looks just how a proper fishing pond should look.im thinking of heading down there very soon. What sort of size are the carp and tench in there?big bonus is i live a 5min walk from the pond.
many tanks

Looks like they have done an amazing job with sorting the pond out.has it been stocked for fishing or are the fish what was already in there?should be trying it out in the next couple of week when i get a sat off work.
Cheers
p.s is the 50 and over rule still in place for pike fishing?

Just a quick question about membership and day tickets.how many members are there at present?can you buy day tickets well in advance?reason i ask is there doesnt seem to be alot of pegs amd was wondering how they knew how many members would be fishing on a particular day to know how many day tickets you can give out. Many thanks

Day tickets are limited to 10 tickets per day they are only sold at Poppies pets if there is a match no tickets will be sold for that day you can get tickets well in advance but you must show your rod licence when you buy your ticket hope that explains it Very Happy

went down tonight to have a proper good look around,an amazing job has been done with the pond.it says fishing only from designated pegs, does this mean pegs with platforms or all the pegs that have been cut out.

Yes, keepnets are allowed, but we ask that any carp over 6-7lb are returned back to the water after capture and not kept in keepnets. We have 18 fishable swims now, but only 8 platforms in at the moment, so any spot that is clearly marked out is available for fishing.

Good luck.
