Well due to personal circumstances have not bee on the banks for nealy 2 months but a friend has asked me to join them on a session at Well Creek Upwell on Saturday.
This is only a narrow drain and goes down to 8m width in places but has a great importance in the fact that it is the only Navigational link between the Great Ouse & the Nene systems without the need to go out into the Wash.
During the Winter it is a great silver fish venue and ive had nets up to 20lb + on a frosty morning with temps below freezing.
Will do a report on here when i get back but if you want to know a bit more about the Drain here is the link

Thanks Steve
I arrived about 7-30 and just took a light pole and seatbox fished about 2/3 way over on a light rig with punch over liquidised bread was about 3 mins to first roach about 1oz and although i was only there about 4 hrs and had about 200 roach from 1/2 oz to 4 ozs this is a great punch river in the winter and you can allways catch even if you have to break ice .
