Hi as the title says my name is scott i have been fishing for a fair few years now and am a member of the ncb area no. 5 fishing club i live in sutton in ashfield so not far from brierley i walk round the pond all the time with the dog and never realised u could fish it till i seen the signs im thinking of trying it out i know it is closed season soon when is the pond open again? and also is this a day ticket water? and what are the rules you have ect as i have looked on your website but cant seem to find anything or its me going blind lol thanks guys

Hi Scott, welcome to the forums. The closed season runs from April 1st - June 1st, and there will be memberships available and also a limited number of day tickets, most likely to be sold at the pet shop in huthwaite. A vaild EA licence will be required to purchase one, a full list of rules will be posted up in the forum shortly, but most notable ones are as follows.

No night fishing
No dogs while fishing
No bait in tins, sweetcorn, meat etc
No fishing from the nature reserve area
Barbless hooks only
Maximum 2 rods
No leaving of litter
