The Chris Elsby memorial match 1st July

This will be our first match, and as we only have 18 pegs on Brierley Pond, we cannot cater for all members to take part in any club matches that we hold, so they shall be organised on a first come, first served basis. If anyone has to pull out before the match is scheduled to take place, any open slots shall be posted up in here.

A full list of the match rules can be found in the clubhouse section on the forum, please make sure all entrants read and understand them fully before stating your interest in matches.

Chris Elsby annual memorial match to be held on Brierley Pond, Sunday 1st July 2012.

Times
All competitors will be asked to arrive for 9:00am, the draw will take place at 9:30am, with the competition commencing at 10:30am, with duration of 5 hours.

Fees
Entry fee £5
Pools fee £5 (optional)

Prizes
The winner of the match has their name engraved on, and photographed with the Chris Elsby memorial trophy, to be displayed in the Brierley Forest Park visitor centre.

1st place 40% of entry fee + (40% of pools fee if pools entered)

2nd place 30% of entry fee + (30% of pools fee if pools entered)

3rd place 20% of entry fee + (20% of pools fee if pools entered)

Golden peg 10% of pools fee (Peg number sealed in envelope before draw for pegs)

10% of entry fee to go to club funds.

Update on match pegs, due to excessive reed growth at the moment, we are going to have to limit the number of pegs to 15. We have 3 corner pegs which are only just fishable, and could result in more lost fish than landed.

When i was up there a lad named Kieran was fishing a couple of pegs up he was also at opening day he said he was fishing this match has he got his name down

Ok Simon glad numbers are building up only just over a week to go. im actually coming up on Saturday and staying till Sunday to make sure im in time lol
