Netting Brierly Park Pond 07-12-2011

I have been fishing brierly a while now and although some of us knew it had a good head of fish in it, i think we were all a little surpsrised to see the results of the netting. The pike in particular was a real surprise. A very successful day it turned out to be, and a job well done.

Looking forward to getting a hook in it this winter

Don.t blame you Steve i'm coming up in new year 1 pike rod out and pole for silvers
want to try and map out depths, snags ect by fishing different pegs throughout day

Sorry Martin in the new constitution I have made up only Chairman of the club or who's initials are SS can fish for Pike sorry its out of my hands its the Law

You could have mate unfortunately you fit the SS rule but the council have stipulated in the lease that experienced over 50s only to fish for Pike because of health and safety they have very sharp teeth and could bite

we know there are at least 2 20lb + pike in there also a few smaller but when they netted pond i think they could only net about 70% so no one really knows exactly what is in there.

there will be a full set of rules for piking put up before the new pike season on the pond so keep an eye ot and good luck with you fishing on there
