Fishing in the cold! Empty Fishing in the cold!

Me and my dad got fed up of watching crap on TV so we thought we'll go down brierley for 1 or 2 hours, so we got my old telescopic rod and a few floats, weights, hooks and Joe my good mate said he had some spare maggots. So we walked down (I live 5 mins walk away) and got there setup in 2 mins and where fishing! 5 minutes I got a cracking FIESTY roach about 10 ounce (probably spelt wrong) lovely fishing. Not long later I thought I got stuck on the bottom but it was another cracking roach! While I was drinking my coffee road caught a nice roach as well. We was there for about 1 hour and a half max because it was FREEZING, but we thouroly enjoyed it! I can't wait for the spring! Thanks Craig Very Happy

Nice going there, you'll be surprised what ya can get even in the worst of conditions down there. I'm going down later in the week, hoping to pull one or two out myself.

Summer fishing on there can be great, beats watching TV Smile
